βπ Cozy Chapters & Late-Night Pages πβ¨
Some weeks feel loud in the best and worst ways all at once.
This week turned into a whirlwind of finally launching the Wandering Novels online shop, learning things as I went, second-guessing myself constantly, fixing problems I didnβt even know existed five minutes earlier, and somehow trying to balance all of it with coffee refills, late-night reading sessions, and the quiet comfort that books always seem to bring me back to.
There were moments this week where I genuinely felt overwhelmed. Moments where I questioned whether I was doing any of this right. But there were also moments where I sat back and realized something Iβve dreamed about for a long time had finally become real.
Wandering Novels officially went live online this week. π€
And honestly? That feeling was equal parts terrifying, emotional, exhausting, exciting, and incredibly rewarding.
This week at Wandering Novels looked like:
π unpacking new inventory
β planning future Cocktail Chapter book club ideas
π₯ building a community centered around books, conversation, and connection
π getting emotionally wrecked by fictional people
π―οΈ balancing business life with reader life
π finding little moments of calm somewhere between the pages
One of my favorite parts of this entire journey has been watching The Cocktail Chapter continue to grow into such a welcoming little corner of the internet. Lately, Iβve really been trying to bring even more involvement into the community β more conversations, more shared recommendations, more opportunities for everyone to connect over the books weβre loving (or emotionally recovering from). I want this space to feel interactive, cozy, and welcoming for anyone who wants to be part of it, because seeing people engage, share their thoughts, and connect through stories honestly means so much to me. If youβve been wanting to join us, you can become part of The Cocktail Chapter here: https://bookclubs.com/the-cocktail-chapter-2/join/
What I finished this week:
π The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters
A beautifully emotional story about loss, identity, family, and the lingering silence that shapes generations. This one stayed with me long after the final page.
π€ Forget Me Not by Stacy Willingham
Dark, unsettling, and impossible to stop reading. The kind of thriller that makes you suspicious of absolutely everyone.
β My five-star read this week was easily The Berry Pickers. Quietly heartbreaking and incredibly well written.
Next up:
π When No One Else Will by Amanda Skenandore
Going into this one mostly blind, which honestly feels like the best way to start a story.
Running Wandering Novels is slowly becoming more than just selling books and cozy things. Itβs becoming a space for connection, comfort, community, and people who love stories as deeply as I do.
So hereβs your reminder this week:
Buy the book.
Join the book club.
Light the candle.
Romanticize the quiet moments.
And stay up way too late reading βjust one more chapter.β π€
