😔 I really wanted to enjoy The Fortunes of Jaded Women, but unfortunately, it just wasn’t the right fit for me.

👥 The biggest challenge I had was keeping track of all the characters. There were so many family members and different perspectives introduced that I constantly found myself trying to remember who everyone was and how they were connected. Instead of becoming immersed in the story, I spent more time trying to piece together all the relationships.

📖 Because I struggled to follow the large cast of characters, I never felt fully invested in the story. Eventually, I realized that I wasn’t looking forward to picking the book back up—and that is usually my sign that it’s time to move on to another read.

💭 I know many readers enjoy multigenerational family stories featuring several perspectives and a large ensemble cast. Unfortunately, this one was simply too difficult for me to keep straight.

The Fortunes of Jaded Women has an interesting premise, but its large cast of characters made it difficult for me to remain connected to the story. Unfortunately, I decided to DNF this one because I never became fully invested.

If you enjoy family sagas with multiple points of view and don’t mind keeping track of a large ensemble of characters, you may have a very different experience with this book than I did.
