🍓 The Strawberry Patch Pancake House was a quick and easy read. Laurie Gilmore’s Dream Harbor books are always cute and comforting, which makes them enjoyable when I want something light.

💕 I sometimes have difficulty becoming fully invested in love stories, and the romance between Iris and Archer didn’t pull me in as strongly as I had hoped. I liked their story, but I didn’t feel completely connected to their relationship.

👨‍👧 I did enjoy Archer’s journey as a new single father. I believe this was my first book featuring the single-dad trope, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked that part of the story. Watching Archer adjust to fatherhood and build a relationship with his daughter, Olive, gave the book its heart for me.
