🤔 I’m still not completely sure how I feel about People We Meet on Vacation. I normally enjoy a good Emily Henry book, and while I liked this one, it also left me feeling a little frustrated.

💕 Poppy and Alex clearly had feelings for each other, and I spent most of the book wanting to jump through the pages and tell them to stop avoiding the obvious and just get together already. It took nearly the entire book for them to admit what they wanted—even after they slept together.

🐢 I understand that this was meant to be a slow-burn, friends-to-lovers romance, but the back-and-forth lasted a little too long for me. After a while, I became less invested in the tension and more frustrated that they still had not figured things out.

✈️ I did enjoy following Poppy and Alex through their different vacations and seeing how their friendship developed over the years. Their connection felt genuine, and there were sweet and entertaining moments throughout the story.

📖 Overall, I enjoyed the read, but I didn’t love it as much as I hoped I would. It was a good story with likable characters, but the extremely slow progression of the romance kept it from becoming a more memorable read for me.

People We Meet on Vacation was an enjoyable friends-to-lovers romance, but Poppy and Alex’s inability to admit their feelings became frustrating for me. I spent most of the book wanting to jump through the pages and tell them to stop overthinking everything and just get together.

I liked their friendship, enjoyed traveling through their memories, and appreciated their connection, but it took far too long for them to figure out what everyone else could already see. I enjoyed the book, but I’m still not completely sure how I feel about it. Ultimately, it was a solid three-star read for me.
